Richard P. Clark

Mr. Clark has a long and highly successful track record in the mining industry including Red Back Mining Inc. where as President and CEO he led Red Back to become an intermediate gold producer. Mr. Clark successfully guided Red Back through all facets of growth including discovery, feasibility, financing and production coupled with successful corporate acquisitions culminating in the sale of Red Back to Kinross Gold Corporation in late 2010.
David Field, BEc (H) / BSc ANU Australia, has had 25 years’ participation in the capital markets and a wealth of experience in evaluating, investing and financing mining projects globally. Mr. Field spent 10 years at Australia’s largest retail fund manager, Bankers Trust Financial Group, as head of their Global Basic Materials Group before joining Carmignac Gestion, the largest boutique fund manager in continental Europe. While at Carmignac Gestion, Mr. Field ran a US$ 2 billion mining fund and invested more than US$ 10 billion of the firm’s funds under management in the commodities sector globally before his departure in late 2014.
Director, Strategic advisor & CEO of Montage
Mr. Stuart is a professional geologist with 30 years of international experience in mineral exploration. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) Geology from the University of Manchester and an M.Sc. in Mineral Exploration and Mining Geology from the University of Leicester. Mr. Stuart was one of the founders of Orca Gold and held the position of Vice President Exploration until December 2014 when he was appointed President. He has extensive experience working in the Arabian Nubian Shield having previously worked in Sudan, Egypt and Yemen.
Prior to joining Orca, Mr. Stuart was Vice President Exploration for Red Back Mining Inc.and oversaw the growth of Red Back's gold resources to over 18 million ounces. Prior to his involvement with Red Back, Mr. Stuart was Exploration Manager at the Geita Gold project in Tanzania, taking the project from initial exploration to production.
Derek White has over 30 years of experience in the mining and metals industry. He holds an undergraduate degree in Geological Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is also a Chartered Accountant. Mr. White is currently President and CEO of Ascot Resources Ltd. Previously Mr. White was President and CEO of KGHM International Ltd. from 2012 to 2015. He also held the positions of Executive Vice President, Business Development and Chief Financial Officer of Quadra FNX Mining Ltd. from 2004 to 2012. Mr. White has held executive positions with International Vision Direct Ltd., BHP-Billiton Plc, Billiton International Metals BV and Impala Platinum Ltd., in Vancouver, Toronto, London, The Hague, and Johannesburg. Mr. White is also an ICSA Accredited Director.
Mr. Chase, formerly a director with Red Back Mining Inc. prior to its $9.2 billion takeover by Kinross Gold Corporation, has over 30 years of experience as a financial executive in the mining industry and has served as a senior board member for a number of public companies.
Mr. White is a Co-Founder and Principal at Blue Deer Capital Partners, an Exempt Market Dealer headquartered in Toronto that provides advisory services to mission driven entrepreneurs. Mr. White has over 20 years of experience as a portfolio manager with a focus on alternative investments including public equities, hedge funds, private equity and venture capital. Brad was a Co-founder of EdgeHill Partners, a $800mm+ alternative asset manager launched in 2010. Previously he was a Co-founder of Salida Capital, a $1bln+ alternative asset manager where over 8 years as portfolio manager his funds recorded 30% compounded returns until his departure to start EdgeHill in 2010.
He is a Director of Synaptive Medical as well as a member of both governance and nominating, and compensation committees. Prior to fund management, Brad worked as an energy analyst at Morgan Stanley, TD Securities, and BMO Nesbitt Burns compiling over 25 years of experience in capital markets. He is the Founder and benefactor of the Embley Park Foundation, a private philanthropic organization, as well as the White Trading Lab at Memorial University. Brad holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, and a CFA designation.
Advisor to the Board
Alexander Davidson was Barrick Gold Corporation’s Executive Vice President, Exploration and Corporate Development. Mr. Davidson was instrumental in the acquisition by Barrick, of Lac Minerals, Sutton Resources, Arequipa Resources, Pangea Goldfields, Homestake Mining and Placer Dome Inc. Mr. Davidson joined Barrick in October 1993 as Vice President, Exploration. He initiated Barrick’s expansion out of North America and into Latin America and beyond. Prior to joining Barrick, Mr. Davidson was Vice President, Exploration for Metal Mining Corporation. Mr. Davidson has over 40 years of experience in designing, implementing and managing gold and base metal exploration and acquisition programs throughout the world. In April 2005, Mr. Davidson was presented the 2005 A.O. Dufresne Award by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum to recognize exceptional achievement and distinguished contributions to mining exploration in Canada. In 2003, Mr. Davidson was named the Prospector of the Year by the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada in recognition for his team's discovery of the Lagunas Norte Project in the Alto Chicama District, Peru. He received his B.Sc. and his M.Sc. in Economic Geology from McGill University.
Mr. Davidson’s extensive experience in the mining industry and his background in precious metal exploration and corporate development allows him to provide valuable industry insight and perspective to the Board and management. Mr. Davidson also has extensive board level experience and has sat on and has chaired a number of committees, including Health Safety & Environment, Technical, Sustainability, Audit, and Compensation.
